BENEFITS OF BEING A MEMBER

Our members participate in training activities, community education/pet visitations and competition in a variety of canine sports. We strive to demonstrate good sportsmanship in all activities and instil respect for all dogs and handlers with focus on safety, health and ability. We believe that all persons and dogs can learn, regardless of breed, age, etc.

Club member guidelines

Club members are expected to follow these guidelines. A club member must:

  1. Be a responsible dog owner (cleaning up after their dog, not allowing their dog to run at large or be a nuisance to the community).
  2. Provide their dog with a humane environment and with the essential requirements of food, water, shelter, kindness and love.
  3. Assume total responsibility for the care, custody, and control of their dog.
  4. In everyday life, use no physical or verbal abuse to their dog or animals.
  5. Take one class given/sponsored by Lloydminster Hot Doggers
  6. Encourage fellow members in their canine endeavours and pass on any knowledge they may have, as we can all learn from each other.
  7. Avoid brining dogs to club functions that exhibit aggression, unstable behaviour or physical unsoundness
  8. Volunteer for at least two club events per year.
  9. Assist with equipment set-up and take-down when participating at activities.
  10. Most of all – come out and have FUN with their dog!
